Business leaders have experienced networking in the fast lane during two ‘unique and exciting’ pitstops at major British motorsport venues.

Multi award-winning PR and communications consultancy MIH Group hosted the networking events at Donington Park and Oulton Park’s recent British Superbike Championship meets.

After hearing from keynote speakers – including MIH managing Director Jo Yeaman – on topics including crisis preparation and AI, delegates were treated to an exclusive paddock walk and garage tour, before watching the action up close courtesy of all-day trackside passes.

Among the attendees were key decision-makers from a wide range of sectors including accountancy, insurance, graphic design and sports therapy, all of whom became acquainted over lunch in the Mar-Train VIP hospitality unit.

Attendees said they made useful connections during ‘a brilliant day full of opportunities’ – and many secured follow-up meetings with firms they were interested in working with.

Simon Harrison, client director at Specialist Risk Group, was at the Donington Park event. He said: “It was one of the best business-to-business networking events I’ve attended in a long while.

“I’d strongly recommend that any business looking to grow and develop should attend such a meeting held by MIH Group, in what was a unique and exciting business environment.”

Stuart Reynolds, independent financial adviser at Equity General, said of the Oulton Park event: “We had a great day. This was the second business-to-business event I’ve done with MIH and it was great. It was very informative and overall great contacts were made.”

MIH – which stands for Make It Happen – is a leading communications and PR agency specialising in, but not limited to, healthcare and public sector work.

The firm has won nine independent and PR industry awards since the start of 2022 and sponsors the next generation of British motorsport talent through a partnership with the Macadam Factory Triumph Supersport and Sportbike Championship Teams.

Susie Ellison, MIH’s Business Development and Marketing Manager, was instrumental in organising the events. She said: “We’re proud of our connections to motorsport and these meets provide the perfect environment for networking in a fun, relaxed and open way.

“The atmosphere was buzzing with positive vibes and a palpable mutual desire among delegates to share, learn and form meaningful relationships.

“Feedback from these two events has been overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees securing meetings with new contacts who can help them realise their goals.”
